WRA student report: "Living like Queens and Kings"

Genevieve Bettendorf sums up the first days of the 2012 Western Reserve Academy Performance Tour: "For the past two days, we've been living like kings and queens! The food is pretty good, the language is beautiful, and the views are absolutely incredible. In Madrid on Tuesday, we visited the Prado and saw fabulous art by Rembrandt, Goya, and El Greco (just to name a few). Being in the same room with such breathtaking beauty was truly awesome. Yesterday we sang in two beautiful chapels in Toledo, first for a morning mass in an old cathedral and next for a concert. The second chapel was at a university and was really cold, but we all sang very well, so the temperature didn't really affect us much, I guess. It's been a great trip so far, and I'm really looking forward to all that Spain and Portugal have to offer!"
